To compare with Jonathan’s statistics I decided to put up some statistics as well. This data comes from the same addon called “count per day” that keeps track of the users that visit my blog. I am really happy about the high share of Firefox in this. After all the MS Internet Explorer is preinstalled on all windows machines.

For surfing I can mainly recommend two browsers. I have both of them installed:

One is chromium (Google chrome without Google spy-ware). Chromium is a very simple and extremely fast browser without a lot of settings you need to worry about.

Download it here: http://www.brothersoft.com/chromium-171320.html

The other one is Firefox of cause. Firefox is the best all-round browser. It is fairly fast, works very well with almost every website, but the great thing about Firefox is the fact that it can be customized by Add-ons. These add-ons let you do pretty much EVERYTHING with the browser.

Download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/

And just to remind you: Internet explorer doesn’t support most of the common web-standards, therefore web developers have to do twice the work (for MSIE and all other browsers). It is slow and unsafe because it is implemented into the windows and thereby is able to manipulate your PC easier than other browsers.
